Serves 2 (about 1.5 cups each)
I wouldn’t really say this is a low calorie ice cream option but having 41g of protein in it means that it is much easier to fit into your macro targets for most people as it takes care of a decent amount of protein for the day. The alternative full fat ice cream option would have 1-2g of protein. I will mention that my serving sizes (of ice cream especially :)) may be a bit larger than most.
200g frozen banana
1 cup skim milk
1 cup low fat cottage cheese
40g choc peanut (or just choc) whey
2 tbspns PB
Blend all ingredients and then transfer to ice cream maker. (alternatively, add a bit of xanthum gum or guar gum in blender and then put in bowls and then freezer for 20mins) When starts to thicken in ice cream maker transfer to bowls and put in freezer for 20mins.
(yes, I realised after it would have looked a lot more appetising if I had put it in a cone or something fancy :p)
